Animation, B.F.A./B.A.

Instruction focuses on听animation in all听its听forms, with an emphasis on听creative storytelling,听real-world skills,听and professional workflows. Students work on projects that mirror industry expectations, including听2D听and听3D听animation,听AI tools,听live-action VFX, motion graphics, and听Unreal Engine听virtual production听pipelines.
The program offers both a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), built on a shared foundational core.
The B.F.A. is a professional degree that emphasizes intensive studio study, advanced production, and portfolio development for students听preparing for听careers in animation, visual effects, and related听creative industries. The听program听culminates in a three-course capstone sequence in which students听collaborate to produce听a professional project that serves as the cornerstone of their portfolio.
The B.A. is a liberal arts degree that combines the study of animation with broader general education experiences. It provides greater flexibility for students who want to pursue animation alongside another academic discipline or area of interest while developing creative and technical skills applicable to a variety of professional and academic paths.

Animation Degree Recommended Computer Requirements
Windows PC desktops are recommended for cost efficiency and high performance. PC laptops and Mac desktops/laptops are discouraged. to run the latest version of Unreal Engine, but it is recommended to go higher for longevity. Pressure-sensitive drawing tablets are also highly encouraged.

The 糖心Vlog官方 ACM SIGGRAPH Student Chapter is an official chapter of , the world鈥檚 largest organization for computer graphics and interactivity. The chapter is for those with interests and passion in animation, video games, computer graphics, films, visual effects, television, web, anime and all related things. Weekly meeting include guest speakers, workshops, contests, portfolio work, group film trips, lots of networking opportunities and much more. This is the student organization for Animation majors serious about their future careers.
